Breaking news ….Tescos has offered to pay them so quit with the hot air, the amount they get in benefits which includes their rent and rates, prescriptions, dental treatment and eye tests probably amounts to more than they would get on the minimum wage anyway.
This was an effective way of giving them work experience without picking the taxpayer’s pockets even more, the candidates don’t mind but the unions are determined to be offended for them, the point is if they toe the line they will at least have a reference to show to a prospective employer which will help them to get a job!

Yeh, but this is a Tory scheme and they have a record of coming up with worthless ways of “helping” he unemployed. In the 80′s I found myself on one of their schemes, sounded great, until I started to realise the whole thing was a con that helped keep the unemployment figures lower than what they were. The courses I was promised were in reality labouring for the local council for a year, every course I’d arranged was postponed and the year past without me attending even one. I could have taught the supervisors more than they were capable of teaching me or anyone else.

I know exactly what you mean. My chimney needed sweeping so I offered one young ragga-muffin a whole 50p if he climbed up and swept it and an extra 20p if he cleaned my rugs afterwards. Can you believe that he actually refused?! Made up some story about only being 12 and having to go to school. No wonder that the country is going to the dogs, send them all to the workhouse I say!

I don’t have the answers to your complaints.
I don’t have the Capital to Invest in Jobs for a Million Young’uns.
British Industry,and The Bankers do have the Assets to Invest.
They are choosing NOT to do so.
There are better ,higher Profits to be made elsewhere.
Life’s a B*tch,and then you Die.
Good Real Jobs,are vital,the Capitalist system has the Readies
,Those that run the system,choose not to act.

I do not pay my taxes so that Mr Tesco can afford a a bigger boat or house or a longer holiday
Tesco should employ people and pay for their work the same as any other Business does
nobody should benefit financially from unemployed peoples work , it is immoral and corrupt
what is deeply confusing about a honest days work for an honest days wage – Nothing

It’s due to a lack of investment in industry. Successive governments have put all our eggs in one basket (financial sector) I read an article about German society. As they’ve both a financial sector and an industrial one. As a result many of them are puzzled as to, what recession?
Apparently we give around £11 billion each year in foreign aid. If we cut that down to £5 then imagine how many jobs we could create. If we had 100′s of industrial companies taking on 1000′s of young workers then Tescos could never get away with employing people for free.
