Log to the slaughter
There was an old eighty year old room, the floor had two layers of carpet. The base was a wine color, and the second layer was a path of carpet to make sure there was no track of dirt of some sort being tracked on the base carpet. And, the walls were made of panel. Ashleigh Banes is the wife of a carpenter, Joe Banes. Ashleigh always waited for her husband to come home. The clock struck six o’clock. Joe comes in, Ashleigh went up and gave him a hug and a kiss in affection.
“Hey, baby,” she said.
“Hey,” he answered.
“How was carpentry today?”
“mentally stressful, much more math than usual today,”
“You want me to get you some whiskey?”
“No, Ashleigh I’m going to go hang with Bill and the other guys tonight.”
“But you hang with Bill and the guys on Saturday nights.” Ashleigh said.
“I know, but tonight is different.”
“But tonight is logging night, we always go logging on Thursday nights.”
“I know, but I think I’m going to go hang with Bill.”
Joe goes upstairs for a quick second. As Ashleigh feels hurt by Joe choosing to hang with Bill over her. She grabs an unused log by the fireplace, jets upstairs and busted him upside his head with it making hill roll backwards down the stairs. She ran to the phone in shock as if someone else killed her husband.
“Nine-one-one, how may I help you?”
“Hello, police my husband is dead!”
“Okay ma’am, is he breathing?”
“No, he’s not moving.”
“We’ll be right over.”
The police and detectives arrive.
“Mrs. Banes, I’m sorry to say but your husband has took a major blow to the head and has died due to head trauma. This could be the damage of… a baseball bat, golf club, or any other object that has a handle at the end.” said detective Donahue.
“officers, check the place for anything suspicious.” said Officer Michaels.
“Me and Joe were supposed to go logging tonight. We go logging every Thursday night.” said Ashleigh.
“You don’t think she did it, do you?” Officer Jackson asked Michaels.
“No way, nothing that pretty and scrawny could do such damage.” Officer Michaels replied.
“Yeah, you’re probably right.” said Jackson.
“Mrs. Banes we would love to help you chop your logs.” said Officer Lewis.
“Thanks” Ashleigh replied.
There are forty-seven logs. There’s one inside by the fireplace and forty-six are outside by the door. So, the officers manage to chop thirty-five logs.
“Mrs. Banes we’ve chopped thirty-six logs and ready to take our leave.” said Officer Jackson.
“Oh please stay, chop the rest. You’re doing me a favor because I haven’t had the chance to go logging with my darling husband.”
said Ashleigh.
“Yeah, we best stay and do her a favor. I mean, it’s harsh not being able to do something with your lover when they had something else to do.” said Officer Lewis.
“Yeah, you’re right.” Jackson replied.
“Would you men like some coffee and donuts?” asked Ashleigh.
“Yes, please” said Officer Lewis.
After the officers got done chopping wood, they all ate coffee and donuts and were ready to head out.
“Well, we must get going now.” said Officer Lewis.
“We thank you for the coffee and donuts.” said Officer Michaels
“You men be safe now.” Ashleigh replied to both.
“Oh, I’m always safe. I’ve been on the force thirty-five years.” said Officer Lewis.
“Oh, you must be the most experienced then. said Ashleigh.
“I am, well we must get going. said Officer Lewis.
“Okay, see you later.” said Ashleigh.
What Do You Think This Guy Was Stereotyping, My Race, My Clothes, Or Both?
Okay, let’s just say I was in a nice area of town because my friend lives there. He let me ride his bike, and he rode is other and his other friend was there. I am Mezito (Salvadorian), My friend is East Indian and my other friend is White.
Anyway, I dressed in red sweats and a Miami Heat jersey. We were biking around and we saw a nice car. We wanted to see what it was called. So I go on the driveway and try to look at the front. Then some old douche (I’d say 40 not very old) in a golf shirt yells at me for no reason. He was like 8 houses down. And it was about 5:00PM, and still very light out.
Anyway, there is no way in h*ll he wasn’t stereotyping one thing or another. The neighborhood is mostly White people, but there are a few Blacks, and a few East Indians. But no Mezitos at all.
Anyway, the dude yelled at me to get the f*ck away from the car. Then I went closer to him and starting yelling at him, like why you tell me to get of? I was just looking at the car. He goes like “Oh sure you were” in a sarcastic tone. So that made me think he was stereotyping. I said is it because I am Latino? Is it because of how I dress? You f*cking White boy. And sorry, white boy always slips outta my mouth when I am getting sterotyped by an ignorant old white dude. Then I just biked off.

ok so I like to golf. I am not a pro, I just go with a few work friends, and I was thinking that it would be sick to have a Happy Gilmore inspired polo to golf in. The Most Cliched Question I Know, But I Honestly Don’t Think Life Has Anything To Offer Me.?
I am a musician. I play the piano, the guitar, I sing, I write loads of songs and I produce. Music is the heart and soul of my life, and all I want is for people to appreciate what I do as a musician.
I play jazz guitar, blues, rock, pretty much anything really since I’ve been playing for over 11 years (am now 20). I am of professional quality now in terms of not just guitar but also when it comes to production, but nobody wants to have anything to do with me regardless.
I make music all the time, so much so that I spend my whole life doing it but no-one takes notice. The music industry these days is not based on how good you are but who you know in terms of CONTACTS, and I have no-one. No-one will put themselves forward to help.
Before you jump on your pedestal you need to know that I am a realist, meaning when I say I’m good I actually mean it. I’m sh*t at everyone else, but I excel at music. Music is the only thing I want to do: it seems like a dead end and if I can’t be a success in music I don’t even want to live and I mean it. I’d rather burn to death than work in Tesco for the rest of my life.
The point is, I can’t help feel that life is just one big popularity contest. Lots of sh*t artists get recognition just because of their friends and I get nothing just because i’m a nobody. It doesn’t matter how good my music is, the fact I’m an average person in every other way sends me to my grave with regards to my career.
I have spent thousands of pounds on equipment, studio time and software, hoping that I would get revenue on my upcoming EP but it hasn’t worked out. I’m now facing the struggle of keeping the debt collectors away, and I honestly feel it’s the end for me now. I can’t help think that nobody wants to know at the end of the day, and if that’s so I go to my grave.
I aint like the others who ask this question. I’m not an attention seeking emo, I’m merely a miserable and frustrated musician who has failed in making his mark and won’t settle for anything else but the best. Up to now I have never had this defeatist attitude, but I now think its time to call it quits. My family would probably be better off in the long term anyway, so everybody wins eventually. I can’t win, that’s for sure.
Is there anything to salvage out of this?

I Think I Am Getting Depressed. ?
To make it short
I started independent studies at the start of my 11 grade year. But im here 8 months later I’ll be 17 in november, I’m finishing my senior year in August. My friendships from when I was in traditional school are withering away and I feel no interest to fix them. I broke up with my gf two weeks ago , she cheated on me. I have never been social and I thought when I started independent studies I wouldn’t miss people but I kind of do now. Ive only had one gf cuz I’ve always been shy about girls. I could talk to them but to try and make something more of a friendship never happens. But Im missing people. And I don’t do much I play bass, Xbox and golf and HW. Not much golf or xbox anymore tho. What I’m saying is Im beginning to feel lonely. Which is odd cuz I was always an anti socialite. I had little friends to begin with. I feel like I need human interaction but i don’t know where to find it. Help. I guess I need someone.
